7.3 2wd gets good milage

i read about some saying excursions pointless well me and my dad tow our jeeps and milatary rigs and we need the 10,000 ibs towing. we have towed 10,000 ibs and its still go's fast lol. and now towing we get 20 mpg freewqay and 17 arong town mpg. that was the same mpg our old 98 expolor got so to say the excursion is a wast of gas is bs lol. we do drive a saturn and jeeps everyday and leave the big boy for towing or big events. but i think the excusion is the best thing ford ever did ( well exept the gt40 :smokin: )
