The price depends on the mods in it, miles, and year.

Fantastic price for the turbo, so watch out because it seems too good to be true... I would say supras are expensive because as prodection models they got costly and Toyotas hold their value well... There is also the aspect of supply and demand. There isn't much supply of supras as the years go on, and the car itself keeps its street racer reputation so they demand remains steady

i highly doubt its legit. no one would sell a TT for 8k unless they have lived under a rock since the time they bought it. i have seen them go for 8k but the car had no engine, no tranny, striped interior, damaged exterior, and god knows what else.

When buying a supra, i would say that 60% of supras for sale are a scam. Also, supras price ranges greatly. Some have twin turbos, some are modified, some have 4 5 or even 6 speeds. Some have the targa top, some are more popular colors. Hell, Top Secret has a supra for sale now for $110,000! Its all in searching and finding out whats best for yourself. Good luck man.

imo supras are way more expensive than what they really are worth.

I agree... Alot of people i know are saying the same about their prices. I mean, its all that Fast and the Furious crap. Because really its crazy to pay for example a 93 Supra TT manual for $20k and up...

The prices didn't just skyrocket when F&F came out, it's an amazing car and it's worth every penny. As an added bonus it keeps 99% of losers, ricers, and general teenagers from getting it who wouldn't be able to handle it or maintain it correctly. How would you like to see alot more riced out and wrecked MKIV's with some gay buddy club kits, neons, and airbags. A 93TT for $20K is a good deal, you DO get what you pay for with Supra's, if it's cheap it's because something is wrong with it. I think 3KGT is just envious because his resale sucks on that mitsu. :p

The reason some are dirt cheap is because there is a finance company called Heritage Financing LTD that has acquired many repo'ed Supra's and they are liquidating them for slightly over $7K. I bought two both 1997 6spd manual and one is fully modified with 20K the other fully stock 24K. Sold them both for a total of 55 thousand dollars. Now if you guys are interested their are 3 more that I know of. All of them are american models that were shipped to the UK and have have been shipped back to the US. Now take your pick or just ask U.S. Customs in NY and in NC.

Well, to partially answer the intial question the Supra is so expensive now in part due to it's relatively low U.S. production run. And, to be frank this was due to styling that was not initially well received and a price tag that absolutely dropped jaws. The styling is apparently loved by the now much larger import crowd, so with limited supply and popularity that far surpasses when it was new you get high prices.

In 1994 a n/a Supra stickered for just shy of 40 large. And, with options, that price could hit forty large! A Turbo model could easily set you back fifty grand.

For some reason somebody always get furious when I mention this. However, as I worked for a dealership at the time I well remember folks virtually passing out when told the price. "For that price I could get a" was heard more than once. The Supra was a very well done, all around car. However, it really was too much money, especially when you compared it's styling to other cars in it's range. Very non-descript.

Toyota eventually lowered the price tag drastically (with rebates you could get a 97 Turbo for slightly less than a n/a 94's base msrp!), but this just served to tick off everyone who already dropped 40-50k for one. Ironic that a car which was so unpopular when new is now as popular as it is.

However, I would say that average pricing is not out of line given it's intial msrp. A mid ninties Porsche 911 C4 could be had for about what a 94 TT Supra ran and it will generally cost as much or more now than the average TT Supra. There are exceptions but these are just that...exceptions.

For all the advantages and exclusivity the Supra's low production run offer owners now, remember that the mistakes that caused those are why the Supra is no longer among us.

Good to hear from a dealer who actually knows what their talking about, last Toyota dealership I went to they didn't even know my MKIII was a Supra, needless to say I haven't went there again.
