Tamiya Mercedes-Benz CLK-LM 1998 This is the Mercedes CLK that raced at Le Mans in 1998; it's not the one that flipped, that was the year after! It is based on Tamiya's Mercedes CLK-GTR with a few minor alterations here and there. The roof scoop has been modified and a scoop added at the base of the rear window, side vents have been filled in and the front bumper area has been changed quite a lot, the main intake widened and lights added into each corner and the vents around the side of the bumper have again been filled in. Also the vents that run across the rear bumper have also been completely filled in. The decals are a different set than that which come with the kit, and are specifically for the Le Mans '98 cars, number 35 or 36, they are made by Decals Carpena, a Portugese company, and were impressive value and quality. As usual with Tamiya, the kit went together well and has a lot of detail in the cockpit and engine bay. Back
